This seminar will focus on the carbon modeling and sustainable design of the Institute's 41 Exhibition Street development in Melbourne. Through a detailed case study it will be shown how a very small CBD site can be transformed to deliver a high quality, highly sustainable, innovative commercial building. The project, concept and total carbon modeling of the building will be analysed in detail.

Russell is a member of Sustainable Melbourne Fund’s Expert Reference Panel as well as a committee member of AIRAH’s ESD Specialist Technical Group. Russell has worked both locally and internationally as a building services and sustainability engineer where he has applied practical and innovative sustainable design solutions to the built environment.
With 14 years of building services consultancy experience working across all sectors of the built environment the knowledge gained from this experience has enabled Russell to bring forth AECOM’s philosophy of continuously challenging prescriptive built environment benchmarks that lead to enhancing our client’s aspirations of delivering environmentally sustainable facilities.
