Course outline
Tatiana Bilbao has established herself as one of the most promising young architects working today on public projects around the world. She created the studio Tatiana Bilbao/mx.a in 2004, and has completed projects in Mexico, China, and Spain. In this presentation to the Australian Institute of Architects' 2009 National Conference, she gives a candid account of the opportunities and limitations of running a practice in Mexico City. She outlines her collaborative approach in working with clients, architects and artists.
The objective of her studio is to address contemporary society and architecture, research and urban studies, including a department devoted to cultural projects such as exhibitions, lectures, and publications.
